Our plan today was to wake up early and all take the train into Milano and do some sightseeing, but we woke up to a day of rain and fog and decided to stay more local. We took a drive to Bergamo instead. Today the city of Bergamo is one of the wealthiest regions in all of Italy.

Città Alta (Upper City)

The upper city is connected to the Lower City by a funicular and a winding road that you can drive or walk up. Giovani, Fabri, Jose and KoKo walked up to the top while the rest of us took the Funicular. We walked around the cobblestone streets, went into the cathedral, and of course had a snack!

It’s usually closed so it was a treat today that it was open and we were able to go inside.  Another amazing cathedral!
